(FOX40.COM) — A 19-year-old is dead and a 17-year-old is injured after a shooting in Stockton Sunday night into early Monday morning, according to the Stockton Police Department.

Police said officers responded to reports of a shooting around 12:12 a.m. at Caldwell Park along Allston Way.

SPD arrived to find the 19-year-old and the 17-year-old with a gunshot wound. The eldest teen was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The youngest teen was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

Homicides Detectives are taking over the investigation. Police said there is no public suspect information.
