IOWA CITY — Kirk Ferentz 's Iowa football team received votes but is not ranked in the AP Top 25 preseason poll released Monday, Aug. 11.
Six Big Ten teams were ranked in the poll: Penn State (No. 2), Ohio State (No. 3), Oregon (No. 7), Illinois (No. 12), Michigan (No. 14) and Indiana (No. 20).
Three other Big Ten programs received votes: Southern California, Nebraska and Iowa .
The Hawkeyes' 2025 schedule includes four teams that start the season ranked in the AP Poll: Penn State, Oregon, Indiana and Iowa State (No. 22). Three of those four games will be played at Kinnick Stadium (Iowa State is away).
