A heavily pregnant dog owner watched as her beloved pet was killed right in front of her.

Charlotte Sipson was walking her Havanese dog Max near Rolts Boat Yard in Bristol with a friend on August 8 when he was suddenly attacked by a much larger animal.

The horrific incident took place in front of a 14-month-old child.

The dog - described as similar to an XL Bully - was off the lead and no owner was in sight.

After Charlotte and her friend managed to free Max from the attacking dog’s jaws, it began circling some children nearby.

The dog’s owner, who was described as 'heavily tattooed' and topless, eventually emerged but ran off with the guilty animal without saying anything or apologising to Charlotte.
