Are Bengals preparing to release WR Jermaine Burton?

The Cincinnati Bengals are coming off a loss in their preseason opener to the Philadelphia Eagles. And while their defense continues to be a work in progress, their offense gave their fans something to be excited about.

Joe Burrow threw two touchdowns, including one to Ja'Marr Chase as the Bengals' starters looked very good. However, one notable absence from the game and subsequent practices has been noticeable.

Second-year wideout Jermaine Burton was not at practice on Sunday or Monday. The Bengals were very vague with their reasoning, as Chris Roling of Bengals Wire points out.
