An area of Alton Towers was reportedly evacuated according to 'confused as hell' guests who were urged to leave the area on Monday (August 11).

Pictures showed large crowds leaving an area within the UK's largest theme park, with others claiming it was the Forbidden Valley area that was temporarily shut down.

One person posted on X: "I'm confused as hell I hope nothing too serious has happened." Another penned: "Yo can anyone at alton towers explain whats going on in forbidden valley since staff seem to be blocking access to it + all the rides are closed?"
