President Donald Trump said a couple of times during Monday's press briefing that he would be traveling to Russia to meet with Vladimir Putin -- but their summit is taking place in Alaska.
"I'm going to Russia on Friday," he said in one instance.
The White House, however, has so far only released information about a meeting with Putin at the U.S.-Russia summit in Alaska on Friday.
It’s Putin’s first time in the U.S. since 2015, and his first visit in Alaska, which was once part of the Russian Empire.
He also made an erroneous reference at another time to the summit being next week instead.
