Lolo National Forest lowers fire danger level to 'moderate'

MISSOULA — The Lolo National Forest has lowered the fire danger level to "moderate."

Fire officials note that fires can still start from accidental causes — especially in dry, open areas — and may spread quickly on windy days.

While fire activity is generally average, a "heavy concentration of fuel may burn hot," a social post states.
