When we think of Upstate New York’s beauty, mountains, waterfalls and lakes often come to mind, but each region also boasts striking architecture.

Soliant, a healthcare staffing company, recently announced the results of its 13th annual Most Beautiful Hospitals in the U.S. contest. The competition recognizes facilities designed to create warm, healing environments that support patient recovery.

Wynn Hospital in Utica ranked No. 8 on the list of 20. The 10-story, 702,000-square-foot hospital opened in October 2023 and is considered the centerpiece of the Central New York city’s downtown medical revitalization, according to Soliant. Its modern design features clean lines, expansive glass façades and abundant natural light, with a central location offering sweeping views of the city.
