LYNDHURST, Ohio — A man is dead following a shooting Friday evening in the 5000 block of South Sedgewick Road, according to the Lyndhurst Police Department .

Officers responded to a 911 call around 7:15 p.m. and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the garage of a residence. Emergency responders transported him to Hillcrest Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Police say the shooting followed an argument between the victim and a known male acquaintance. The suspect fled the scene by car but was arrested hours later in the Cincinnati area with help from the U.S. Marshals Service and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Authorities have not released the suspect's identity or details about the weapon used. The investigation is ongoing, led by the Lyndhurst Pol
