WASHINGTON — More than 800 cases of sugar cookies sold at Target stores in several states are being recalled for possibly containing wood.
The Food and Drug Administration issued a recall notice for Favorite Day Bakery Frosted Sugar Cookies as they may contain wood. According to the recall, the 13.5 oz. packages of the cookies were sold at Target and distributed to 20 states and Washington, D.C.
About 803 cases of the 10-count cookies are being recalled, with each case containing around 15 units. It is unknown whether there are any reports of injury or illness related to the recall, which was first initiated on July 22 by Give and Go Prepared Foods Corporation in Canada.
