LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — A domestic disturbance led to a lockdown at two schools in North Las Vegas Monday, police said.

North Las Vegas police said Mojave High School and Raul P. Elizondo Elementary School were placed on lockdown Monday morning because of a domestic disturbance. Officials said the lockdown was precautionary and for safety reasons.

According to law enforcement, a suspect has been apprehended, and there is no threat to the community. As of 10:30 a.m., the lockdown at Mojave High School has been lifted, while the Elizondo Elementary lockdown has not.

The two schools are close in proximity, with Mojave High School located about a half-mile north of Elizondo Elementary.
