Friendly's Ice Cream has put out a voluntary recall of their Cookies & Cream ice cream due to unclear allergens in the popular flavor. The flavors were distributed to retail stores in Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania.

The company announced the recall on Aug. 5, 2025, with 324 cartons recalled due to undeclared soy and wheat in their 48 fluid ounce cartons, the company shared.

The recalled product was mistakenly packaged in Friendly's Vanilla Bean ice cream cartons with a Cookies & Cream lid.

The mix-up could impact people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy or wheat and runs the risk of a serious allergic reaction.
