MOBILE, Ala. ( WALA ) - FOX10 News has learned that two workers have died and a third was taken to a local hospital after an industrial accident near a west Mobile neighborhood.

Mobile Fire-Rescue crews and Mobile police were on the scene through the morning near Princeton Woods.

The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department reports crews responded to a technical rescue call in the 1800 block of Princeton Woods Drive. The incident involved a confined space rescue with three confirmed victims, according to MFRD.

The department said one victim self-rescued and was taken to an area hospital. That victim’s condition is uncertain.

Technical rescue teams and emergency medical personnel worked to extract two additional victims from about 30 feet below the surface.
