MANHATTAN, Kan. (KCTV) - Kansas State enters the season as the 17th-ranked team in the country in the Associated Press Top 25 .

The Wildcats join three other Big 12 teams in the preseason Top 25: Arizona State (11), Iowa State (22) and Texas Tech (23).

Missouri was the seventh team out of the poll with 33 points. Kansas did not receive any votes.

No. 17 K-State kicks off the season Aug. 23 against No. 22 Iowa State in Dublin, Ireland.

KU opens the season in its new stadium Aug. 23 against Fresno State.

The Tigers kick off 2025 hosting Central Arkansas Aug. 28.
