NILES A Warren man is behind bars after police say he broke into the Eastwood Mall, as well as a nearby jewelry store.
According to a press release, the incident happened shortly after 3:30 a.m. August 3 when police responded to two alarm drops with one at the Eastwood Mall and another at the nearby Direct Jewelry Outlet store.
Police found that both businesses had been broken into with the suspect shattering the glass doors to gain entry.
Police were able to find the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Joshua Evans just hours after the break-ins thanks to surveillance footage from the businesses, as well as the city's FLOCK cameras.
