ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The DeKalb County Police Department shared details about the official online fundraiser for the officer killed responding to an active shooter Friday near Emory and the CDC in Atlanta.

Funds will go directly to the family of DeKalb County police officer David Rose “to help ease the financial burden that they now face and will allow them to focus on healing and honoring his legacy,” the organizer, only identified as Mrs. Rose, wrote.

Rose leaves behind two young children, a wife who is pregnant with their third and other family members.
