DeWitt, NY - A popular seasonal retailer is soon moving into the former Bed Bath & Beyond store in DeWitt.

A sign on the Bed Bath location in Marshall’s Plaza in DeWitt says Spirit Halloween is “coming soon.” A date is not provided.

Spirit Halloween’s website also indicates it is setting up a store there, but doesn’t give an opening date.

Spirit Halloween is the largest retailer of Halloween costumes for kids and adults, accessories, decorations and more in North America. It has more than 1,500 seasonal stores located in strip centers and malls.

Bed Bath & Beyond’s store in Marshall’s Plaza was the last one to close in Central New York after the chain closed numerous other locations due to financial difficulties. The first ones closed in Clay and Camillus in 2020, and the DeWitt stor
