KINGSTON — A proposal to go before city council to dissolve the body that oversees local taxi service should be delayed and more discussion about its role should happen before any changes, the agency said.
On Thursday, Kingscourt-Rideau District Coun. Brandon Tozzo resigned from the Kingston Area Taxi Commission because of a lack of progress by the organization in providing overdue financial documents to the city.

Tozzo also supported a recommendation to go before city council Tuesday to dissolve the KATC and bring its services under city administration.
But in response, Joseph Dowser, the commission chair said the commission has made progress in catching up on its overdue financial records.
