The West Suburban Little League softball team from Johnstown gave Pennsylvania its first world series title since 1978 with a 1-0 win over the representative from the Central Region (Indiana) on Sunday.

Reagan Bills, who was nearly unhittable throughout the tournament, worked a complete-game shutout, allowing just one hit for the Mid-Atlantic champions.

The scoreless tie was broken in the fourth inning when Sadie Divido singled to center field, advanced on an error, and scored on a base hit to center by Bills.

Both pitchers were outstanding.

Bills did not allow a single runner to move farther than second base in the first four innings of the game and allowed just a walk and a hit. She walked four and stuck out seven.
