ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque woman will spend more than a decade behind bars after admitting to abusing her child, resulting in the death of her two-year-old daughter. Kreshenna Delaney previously pleaded guilty to child abandonment resulting in death and two counts of child abuse.
In May 2023, Delaney took her unresponsive toddler to the hospital, where doctors determined the child died from a cocaine overdose. Delaney admitted to selling the drug out of her home and leaving her three children alone with known drug users. All three tested positive for various narcotics. Judge Bruce Fox sentenced Delaney to 14 years behind bars.
