COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police in Colorado Springs were searching a home on the east side of the city Monday morning tied to an incendiary device found during a traffic stop last week.

Last Thursday, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said Anthony Lopez was arrested when police stopped his car near North Carefree Circle and Hammock Drive for a registration violation and found a suspected incendiary device in the vehicle. According a post made by CSPD’s K9 Unit on Facebook, officers had located a “suspicious object” taped to a bottle, and it was determined that "the object was an incendiary device and the duct taped piece was an improvised explosive device."
