A new Harry Potter adaptation is coming to HBO Max and if a top executive is to be believed, it will be around for a long time.

Speaking to reporters during Warner Bros. Discovery’s latest earning call, CEO David Zaslav doubled down on his promise that the upcoming TV series will run for ten years.

There are seven books in J.K. Rowling’s landmark series about a young orphan boy who learns he is a legendary figure in a secret wizarding world.

Together with his friends and allies, he battles the dark wizard Voldemort who has returned after many years.

The TV series, set to premiere in 2027, was originally thought to include seven seasons, or one for each book, but it appears those plans have expanded.
