Early Saturday morning, the DeKalb County Police Department announced that David Rose, 33, was the officer killed in the line duty during the Friday afternoon attack on the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention campus at Emory Point in Atlanta.

In response to requests to help from all over the country, Rose’s family has set up a GoFundMe fundraiser to provide ongoing support for his wife and children as they navigate the difficult road ahead.
