ROCKY MOUNT — It’s time once again for the Franklin County Agricultural Fair. Four days of music, entertainment and rides are set to kick off Wednesday.

Organizers are working to make this year’s fair bigger and better than ever. Kevin Tosh, director of tourism and marketing for the county, said work was recently done at the Franklin County Recreation Park to provide a bit more room for the fairgrounds.

“There will be a bigger selection of rides this year,” Tosh said. He expects there to be between 12 and 14 rides this year, which would be four to six more than last year. He added that the new rides will be a mixture of those just for small kids and those that older kids enjoy.
