HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Meadows Elementary School hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony earlier today, and they had very special guests.

The family of Azel Meadows, the Huntington developer who donated the land for the original Meadows Elementary in 1923, were in attendance at the ceremony.

Mr. Meadows’s son and five grandsons and their families traveled from Florida, Tennessee, and Georgia.

Having the family in attendance served as a moment of connection between Meadows Elementary’s proud history and the bright future it will have at its new site.
