Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Jermaine Burton provided an update Monday after he missed practice over the weekend.
Burton missed Sunday’s practice with an “undisclosed injury,” according to a team spokesperson, and some began to question his absence on social media. Advertisement
Burton, 24, put that speculation to rest with a social media post on Monday , saying “My absence was DUE TO INJURY, not for any other reason. Any suggestion otherwise is simply untrue.”
The Bengals nor Burton have divulged specifics of the injury.
A third-round pick by the Bengals in the 2024 NFL Draft, Burton flashed potential last season with four catches for 107 yards in 14 games.
