MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCSC) - Berkeley County deputies have arrested an Andrews man who they say led them on a high-speed chase on Friday.

Rashawn Quamaine Scott, 35, is charged with failure to stop for blue lights, second offense; driving under suspension, third or subsequent offense; habitual traffic offender, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, deputies say.

Investigators say a Berkeley County deputy and his K-9 partner were patrolling Cooper Store Road in Moncks Corner on Friday when the deputy saw a vehicle tailgating another driver and swerving within its lane.

Deputies attempted to pull over the vehicle, which they say initially slowed but then accelerated.

The driver, later identified as Scott, continued onto Black Tom Road and South Live Oak Drive, reaching spee
