WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (WFLA) — Homeowners who live along Lake Winterset are fed up with a years-long and, often, unruly tradition.

Boaters discovered a spot along Lake Winterset a few years ago and started hanging out in the area on the weekends. Unfortunately, for some, that also means playing loud music, drinking and trespassing on private property.

Lake Winterset is located on the chain of lakes in Winter Haven.

“They’re docking their boats on the land, not in the water,” resident Gary Resmondo said.

Resmondo moved to a waterfront property from a home further inland, a move he's come to regret.
