FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A hot and humid start to the week with highs near 90 degrees and a heat index that reached the mid 90s this afternoon. With it a few scattered showers are popping up across the area as a result of the high humidity. We will dry out and stay warm into the day tomorrow.

A cold front will approach later in the day tomorrow, which will bring another round of rain tomorrow evening. An isolated thunderstorm is possible ahead of the front, as part of the area is under a Level 1 of 5, Marginal Risk, for severe weather. The only concern would be isolated heavy downpours and wind gusts. However, the severe risk tomorrow is low.

The cold front will cool us down temporarily midweek before heating up into the end of the week. High temperatures back into the 90s for the weeke
