MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A Charleston, Missouri, man was sentenced to prison on Tuesday in a 2024 murder trial.

Bryan Campbell shot and killed Christopher Vinson on April 1, 2024. Vinson’s body was found five days later off County Road 203 .

According to online court records, Campbell pleaded guilty to the amended charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action on August 11. He was originally charged with first-degree murder.

He was then sentenced to 25 years in the Department of Corrections for the former charge and five years for the latter. He will serve the sentences consecutively.
