Lakeshore Public Media lost its CEO after two years, after it suffered severe state and federal funding cuts.
The Merrillville-based broadcaster, which airs PBS and NPR affiliates, hired Chuck Roberts in 2023. He previously ran West Virginia Public Broadcasting for a decade.
Roberts, who launched the Building Blocks early education programming during his time at Lakeshore Public Media, left to serve as the chief operating officer of Maryland Public Television.
Lakeshore Public Media, which broadcasts Lakeshore Public Television across Chicagoland and Lakeshore Public Radio across most of Northwest Indiana, brought back Nancy Clifford as interim CEO.
