ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KCTV) - The Chiefs spent their fourth-round draft pick on tight end Jared Wiley in 2024, but his rookie season was cut short after tearing his ACL in practice in November of 2024.
An ACL tear usually takes a year to rehab, but he and the Chiefs trainers set a goal to get him playing by training camp.
“Shortly after I had surgery, I was talking to a couple of trainers up there. And I’m down on myself, and I’m not feeling very good. So we decided to set a pretty lofty goal for me,” he said, looking back to almost a year ago.
