ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — Two Elizabeth City residents are facing a litany of charges after an operation by the Elizabeth City Police Department.
Zwanye Shymaur Knight, 19, and 18-year-old Malachi Jaheim Cooper were arrested on Monday as part of "Operation: Taking Back Our City," according to a release from the department.
Knight was charged with discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling. He was transported to Albemarle District Jail with no bond. At his first court appearance in Pasquotank County District Court, his bond was set at $100,000.
