VILLAGE OF HOWARD, Wis. (WBAY) - On Monday around 7:30 a.m., Howard Fire Rescue responded to the intersection of Hwy 41 and Shawano Ave. for a vehicle that had left the roadway and was floating in a retention pond.

Members from Howard Fire Rescue were able to react quickly as the vehicle became completely submerged.

The two elderly occupants were able to escape but were unable to get to shore.

Both occupants were pulled safely to shore and were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
