(WSPA) - The two men facing off in the Republican primary runoff for Spartanburg County Council's District 3 seat will take part in a candidate forum Thursday.

Paul Abbott, Jr. and Jason Lynch received the most votes out of six candidates vying for the Republican nomination during last Tuesday's election.

The forum will be moderated by 7NEWS' Amy Wood.

The free event will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Spartanburg School District 3 Community Auditorium at Broome High School on Cherry Hill Road.

The public can sign up for tickets to the candidate forum online.

The runoff will be held on August 19.
