LISBON A gazebo in downtown Lisbon received a makeover on August 9, 2025.

According to a post from the Facebook profile of Lisbon Mayor Peter Wilson, the gazebo was able to receive the makeover due to a $2,000 grant from Home Depot.

Several volunteers donated 10 hours of time on Saturday to sand, scrape, prime and paint the gazebo steps, base and floor.

Mayor Wilson's post also included a picture of the completed gazebo, shown above.

In addition to the gazebo, three picnic tables in the area also received sanding, scraping and a fresh coat of paint.

The gazebo makeover comes about a week after the downtown squares in Lisbon were resurfaced for the first time in more than two decades.

Work was completed on repaving the squares in downtown Lisbon on August 6.
