BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A Pennsylvania mother is charged with manslaughter for the death of her 3-year-old daughter.

On Monday, 40-year-old Kelly Brown appeared in court where her bail was set at $50,000.

“Cash bail is warranted in this case. I am going to set cash bail at $50,000 as well as a special condition of no contact with children under the age of 18,” stated the judge.

Court records reveal Brown parked her car at the Milford Freshies parking lot around 2 a.m. Saturday when she left her three year-old daughter Fiona and her small dog inside the car.

Early indications are that Fiona’s death is likely attributed to the heat, according to the deputy chief medical examiner. The dog was also found dead in the car.
