BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Bangor City Councilors and staff cut the ribbon on the newly renovated City Hall.

Services were open to the public for the first time Monday.

Before Monday night’s city council meeting, the public was invited to tour the new facility and talk to staff.

The renovation has resulted in a more energy-efficient and accessible building for visitors.

“First day went pretty well. We had a very busy lobby here with people needing various services, and that’s one other thing we want to really emphasize with this project is that a lot of those city services that people need, they used to be kind of spread out in City Hall, but now they’re all concentrated here on the first floor. So, we’re hoping that that will lead to a better customer service experience,“ said David Warre
