Police said two suspects were behind bars and at least four more were at large after they apparently drove a car into a cannabis business in Hazel Park, and allegedly stole some vape cartridges and kidnapped a security guard before fleeing police.

Hazel Park police said an officer patrolling the area of John R and Eight Mile around 1:30 a.m. Friday noticed a cloud of debris coming from the area of the HP Lab Group marijuana processing facility.

The officer noticed a U-Haul truck leaving the scene and saw that a vehicle had crashed into the building, producing a gaping hole, Hazel Park police said in a news release. Police attempted to stop the U-Haul but the driver fled, leading law enforcement on a chase into east Detroit.
