SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Residents of the Highland area in Savannah are frustrated after a plan to add more apartments has resurfaced.
The mayor vetoed it the first time around.
WTOC took to District 1 to gauge the thoughts of people who live in the area.
Mayor Johnson recently used the first veto that the city has seen in 30 years coming from his position. And the rezoning he had vetoed is back.
If you live in the Highlands area you’ve probably seen a public notice sign that looks a little bit something like that.
What is this rezoning exactly?
Well it looks to bring more apartments to the Highlands area, District 1 in Savannah. Now the feedback from community members was a resounding:
