BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — A Bridgeport man was sentenced on Monday to 40 years in prison for his involvement in a Bridgeport street gang that was found to have allegedly murdered someone and robbed multiple others.
Thirty-year-old Lorenzo Carter, also known as "Zo" or "Skii," was allegedly involved in a gang named "Original North End," or "O.N.E." The gang was based in the Trumbull Gardens area of Bridgeport and committed acts of violence against rival gangs in the area.
According to officials, members of the gang robbed drug dealers, customers and others, sold narcotics, stole cars from inside and outside of Connecticut, and used these cars to commit crimes. Court documents say that they frequently used social media to coordinate criminal activity.
