E.J. Warner will be a starting quarterback in his final season of college football.
The former Temple and Rice quarterback, who is the son of former Giants quarterback Kurt Warner, has been named the starting quarterback for Fresno State, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Werner will make his debut with the Bulldogs on Aug. 23 in a Week 0 matchup against Kansas.
Warner threw for 2,710 yards, 17 touchdowns and 13 interceptions on 272-of-439 passing (62%) in 11 appearances with Rice last season, who went 4-8 in his lone campaign there.
He started his career at Temple, where he made 21 appearances across two seasons before transferring.
