THIS EVENING, TONIGHT...

An Air Quality Alert is in effect statewide until 11pm, due to ground-level ozone. Under a clear sky, temps this evening drop through the 80s, into the 70s after sunset. By daybreak, they bottom out 60-65 inland and in the mid to upper 60s along the shoreline.

CELESTIAL HAPPENINGS…

On an astronomical note, just before sunrise in the eastern sky, you’ll likely see two bright objects in the sky. These are the planets Jupiter and Venus! Also, you can catch the Perseid Meteor Shower tonight or tomorrow night (when it peaks). Fortunately, our sky will be clear; however, the wanning gibbous sturgeon moon will make seeing these meteors a bit more challenging.
