ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Greer Lingle Middle School will reopen after the Memorial Day Weekend 2024 tornadoes forced it to close.

After the storms, Lingle students attended classes in mobile units at New Tech High School. However, as renovations near completion, it expects to be fully operational for the 2025-26 school year, starting on Wednesday.

"The floor is new, the walls are new, the ceiling tiles are new, the fire suppression is new, the lighting is new, and the desk and chairs are new. The cabinetry in the back would be new, teacher desks are new," said Superintendent Dr. Jeff Perry. "Basically everything except the foundation and the exterior structure of the walls, everything else would be new and renovated."
