BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Monday marked the first day of high school football practice for Class 5A and 6A teams in Texas.

All four Bryan/College Station football teams hit the turf for early-morning, pre-sunrise practices. The excitement is in the air, and the work is underway with just 18 days until the first Friday Football gameday of the year.

“It’s nerve-racking, like it’s finally here, my senior year,” College Station linebacker Brakadeon Smith said. “After all we’ve been through for the past three years, it’s just crazy we’re already here.”
