On Aug. 11, the Seattle Seahawks announced the signing of Federal Way High School alum Alphonzo Tuputala.

Tuputala was most recently working out with the Green Bay Packers, but had attended Seahawks mini camp earlier in the summer, according to Paul Sheehey of Pro Sports Agency.

Following Federal Way High School, Tuputala went up I-5 and played for the University of Washington from 2019-2024 for the Purple and Gold. He totaled 53 games over six seasons for the Huskies, and was on the Huskies’ National Championship contending team in 2023.

Over his six seasons, he had 234 total tackles (123 solo) and 71 tackles for loss. Tuputala is now on the 90-man roster for the Seahawks and adds depth to the Seattle linebacker room.
