The search is on for two suspects who managed to slip away after a wild and dangerous chase from the Antelope Valley to downtown Los Angeles .

The suspects carjacked multiple vehicles along the way, including a tanker truck.

The wild and scary pursuit began Sunday night in the Antelope Valley around 10:30 p.m. when the two suspects carjacked the owner of a pickup truck.

The victim followed them, and that's when one of the suspects fired shots at him. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but the chase was on.

The suspects then made their way to the San Fernando Valley. At one point, they were driving the wrong direction on the 5 Freeway.

Then, they jumped out of the pickup truck and carjacked a big rig. The driver jumped out, and the suspects -- who were believed to be armed and dangerous -
