GRAND VALLEY, Colo. (KREX) - When you think of the word "tour," you may be thinking of a band or a comedy tour.
Well, that wasn’t the case here in the Grand Valley this morning. Rock stars are known for their tours. But this is a different kind of gig.
On Monday, School District 51 board of education members took a drive around the Grand Valley in a school bus, making their first stop at Mt. Garfield Middle School. But unlike last year, these middle school students challenged the board to a round of 'Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?'
Danielle Bagwell, the principal at Mt. Garfield Middle School, states, “It was pretty fun to see the adults sweat a little bit, and the kids came in pretty clutch. But it's just a fun competition.”
