GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — On Thursday, AARP will be celebrating 90 years of Social Security with a community event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens, located at 655 Struthers Ave.

The free event will have refreshments, a themed scavenger hunt, on-site tools and opportunities for attendees to share what Social Security means to them. It is part of a nationwide effort to engage individuals in a conversation about the role of Social Security in Americans' futures.
