COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The City of Colorado Springs and Trails and Open Space Coalition (TOSC) is inviting residents to volunteer at a Keep It Clean COS community cleanup event.
The event will be Aug. 23, from 9 a.m. to noon, along the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail between Monument Valley and America the Beautiful parks. Participants will meet at the east lawn of Monument Valley Park, and parking is available in Monument Valley Park and along Mesa Road.
The city encourages participants to bring water and wear pants and closed-toed shoes. All other supplies, including pickers, gloves and trash bags, will be provided.
According to a release on Tuesday, Keep It Clean COS is a citywide effort to remove trash from medians, streets and other public areas. City officials said 7,890,000
